REGISTRATION & LICENSING OF OIL PALM

REGISTRATION SHALL BE DONE ONCE, WHEREAS A LICENCE SHALL BE RENEWABLE AFTER 24 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUE UPON APPLICATION BY AN ACTOR (TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY).

 

PLEASE ATTACH COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS TO APPLY AS: 

1.  AN AGGREGATOR

A person who is an aggregator of FFB shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:

  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Ghana Card, Passport and Drivers Licence);
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. location(s) of aggregation centre(s) with the Ghana Post GPS address(es);
  4. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  5. names of directors;
  6. address of registered head office;
  7. tax identification number;
  8. FFB Aggregation per annum (tonnes)
  9. introductory letter from an off-taker (an off-taker here strictly refers to a Ghanaian registered Oil Palm Industrial Mill or a Ghanaian registered Artisanal Mill or a Ghanaian registered FFB Trader).

 

 2. A TRADER OF OIL PALM FFB

  A person who is a trader of Oil Palm FFB shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Ghana Card, Passport and Drivers Licence);
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location(s) of business(es) with the Ghana Post GPS Address(es);
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. introductory letter(s) from off-taker(s) (an off-taker here strictly refers to a Ghanaian-registered Artisanal Mill or a Ghanaian-registered Industrial Mill);

 

  1. Artisanal Mills
     A person who is an Artisanal Miller shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Ghana Card, Passport and Drivers License);
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. installed processing capacity;
  6. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  7. major shareholders of the company;
  8. names of directors;
  9. address of registered head office;
  10. bankers’ reference;
  11. tax identification number;
  12. FDA Certificate

 

  1. INDUSTRIAL MILL
     A person who is an Industrial Miller shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of citizenship (Ghana Card, Passport and Drivers Licence);
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Rubber Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. installed processing capacity;
  6. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  7. major shareholders of the company;
  8. names of directors;
  9. address of registered head office;
  10. bankers’ reference;
  11. tax identification number;
  12. FDA Certificate

  1. REFINERY
     A person who is a refiner of crude palm oil shall provide the following to qualify for  registration and licensing by the Authority
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. Provide a list of products manufactured
  12. FDA Certificate

 

  1. MANUFACTURER
     A person who is a manufacturer other than a refinery shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. Provide list of products manufactured
  12. FDA Certificate

 

 

  1. IMPORTER
     A person who is an importer shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. Provide the following information
    i. FDA Certification
    ii. Free Zone Board License (if applicable)
    iii. Manufacturing Concession License (if applicable)
    iv. Custom Import Certificate
    v. Standards Authority Certificate


  1. SERVICE PROVIDER
     A person who is a Service Provider shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. Provide a list of services

 

  1. NURSERY OPERATORS
     A person who is a Nursery Operator shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location of business with the Ghana Post GPS Address;
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. PPRSD Certificate

 

  1. A TRADER OF CRUDE PALM OIL
     A person who is a trader of Crude Palm Oil shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location(s) of business(es) with the Ghana Post GPS Address(es);
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. Introductory letters from off-takers (an off-taker here strictly refers to a Ghanaian-registered Refinery or a Ghanaian-registered Manufacturer);

 

  1. AN EXPORTER OF CRUDE PALM OIL
     A person who is an exporter of Crude Palm Oil shall provide the following to qualify for registration and licensing by the Authority:
  1. proof of Ghanaian citizenship (Passport, Drivers Licence or Ghana Card;
  2. name of the business and registered trademark;
  3. proof of membership of an identifiable Oil Palm Value Chain Association;
  4. location(s) of business(es) with the Ghana Post GPS Address(es);
  5. certificate of incorporation and commencement of business certificate;
  6. major shareholders of the company;
  7. names of directors;
  8. address of registered head office;
  9. bankers’ reference;
  10. tax identification number;
  11. Introductory letters from off-takers (an off-taker here strictly refers to a Ghanaian-registered Artisanal Mill or a Ghanaian-registered Industrial Mill);
